Second Chance Survivor | 02-Oct-25 11:24:09 AM |
Well most of us have gone through Survivor withdrawal for long enough.
Starting in Week 5 everybody will have another chance to win the Survivor Pool. This one is a little different though. You will have to choose a team to win AND a team to lose. You have to win BOTH to advance AND you have to select teams playing in separate games (can't pick a winner and loser that are playing each other) to move onto the next week.
"The Catch". Once you've chosen a team to win or lose, you can NO LONGER choose them to win or lose again for the remainder of the pool and they will be removed from your pick list. With the pool running for 13 weeks and picking two teams, there are lots of teams still but could run into trouble down the stretch if you don't play your cards right.
I hope you enjoy your second chance and good luck. |

Week #4 Recap | 30-Sep-25 03:37:43 PM |
A Micah Revenge TIE game, injuries to key players and the Ravens starting 1-3 are the stories that Week 4 brought to all of us.
Main Pool
Bear Goggles (Kevin Stack) thought he'd bring his own story by dominating the field this week going 14-2 (one loss being the tie) with a Bang on to win the weekly by a margin of 20 points. Seasoned vet The Filthy McNastys (Brad Mazur) finished in 2nd going 13-3 with a couple of Bangers while Los Caballeros (Peter Lostale) grabbed third going 12-4 but was great on his spreads with 3 Bng Ons.
JOK Chance (Chance Glascock) is now our Overall leader with JE | Throwpill (Steve Warde) within striking distance. They are both followed closely behind by former leader Fadez (Adrian Dvorak), Rocky (Mike Rochfort), and Tua Be Or Not Tua Be (Warren Johnstone).
Bear Goggles was the only one who mustered 14 wins this week. JE | Joel Wiens has done very well predicting winners as he has opened up a comfortable lead in wins, three more than the next closest poolies.
Princess and the pool (Lea Shortreed) and Kathy Lostale both nailed 4 Bang Ons to move them up the standings but are still behind the leader Rowan Morrissey who got one more then fellow past co-leader Talibun Munchma Quchi (Jay Madsen) who's in 2nd for Bang Ons.
There was a ton of Seattle by a FG winners on Thursday night but it helped Big Box Broncos (Jason Morneau) climb to the top of the Non Sun-Mon category. Keeley Warren drops down to 2nd while Rob Casavant slips into 3rd.
The Sunday Night standings remain unchanged as NOBODY had the guts to predict the Green Bay/Dallas tie.
With the 2 games on Monday night, there were lots of points up for grabs and Patrick Dupuis took advantage as his Denver by 21 selection got him 42 of his 67 points on Monday Night Football. Clayton Clarke vaulted himself into the lead followed closely behind by Gregg Scully, Jameis the Giant's Slayer (Kayne Arias) and Brendan Mykle-Winkler.
Survivor Pool Update - 274/348 Survived in Winners Pool (74 eliminated - 53 of them Charger selections)) - 323/385 Survived in Loser Pool (62 eliminated - 26 NY Giant picks) The 2nd Chance Survivor Pool will start this week so there are less tied at the end of the season.
Head 2 Head bracket down to final 32. Somebody has to go 9-0.
League Play's 1st round is now over halfway through and there are 2 participants that are 4-0 but have a 2 game lead in their division. Keep up the great work norbert (Brenda Harvey) and IckeyShufflin' (Dan Livesey)
Best of luck in Week 5 and don't forget your Sunday morning pick!!!!
Platinum Pool
Brettski'sBallers (Brett Currie) created his own story by manhandling the picks this week going 14-2 (one loss being the tie) with a Bang On to walk away with the weekly this week. Jim Causier placed 2nd going 13-3 with 2 Bang Ons and Mike Davis rounded out the Top 3 going 12-4 with a Bang On. It was Mike's 2nd consecutive Bronze Prize. Can he go 3???
JOK Chance (Chance Glascock) continues to lead Overall followed closely by 2nd place JE | Throwpill (Steve Warde) and not surprisingly Mike Davis is in 3rd place Overall.
Brettski'sBallsers is the only poolster to manage 14 wins this week but Jim Causier, The Hunchback of Roberts Bank (Chris Bevilacqua) and Dave Wood were all close managing 13 wins. It helped Jim Causier to move into 1st with the most wins. Mike Davis and JOK Chance are tied for 2nd one game back.
There were 7 poolsters that got 3 Bang Ons but it helped Gipper (Adam Pion) the most as he now leads the Bang On category outright.
We had 20 fortune tellers that were able to predict Seattle winning by 3 on Thursday. Jake Scammell was one of them but it wasn't enough to surpass Howie (Steve Howerton) for the overall lead in the Non Sun-Mon stat and he sits in 2nd. Following very closely behind is gvin (Gary Vinet) who sits in 3rd.
The Sunday Night standings remain unchanged as NOBODY had the guts to predict the Green Bay/Dallas tie.
Orange Crush Dynasty (Jeff Petersen) was the top scorer on Monday night with Consistently Picking Losers (Nick Stripp) and PP's West Canaan Coyotes (Paul Pedersen) were within points of him. These guys are well back of the leaders though as TMAC (Tracy McLachlan) maintains top spot and Mike Davis surged up to 2nd while JOK FOG (Jeff Weston) drops a spot down to 3rd.
Survivor Results - 82/107 Winner Pool Survivors (25 eliminated) - 101/124 Loser Pool Survivors (23 eliminated) The 2nd Chance Survivor Pool will start this week so there are less tied at the end of the season.
Head 2 Head bracket down to final 32. Somebody has to go 9-0.
Best of luck in Week 5 and don't forget your Sunday morning pick!!!! |

Week #3 Recap and International Game Reminder | 23-Sep-25 02:51:48 PM |
1st thing 1st.....There is an International Game this week (Min vs Pit) scheduled for Sunday morning at 6:30am PST. I suggest when you enter your Thursday pick you do one more game at least to make sure you don't sleep through the Sunday early morning deadline. The early line is 4.5 poolsters will ignore my suggestion and miss this game entirely (my reverse psychology in motion).
It was the week of defence and special teams that were both significant in some teams victories.
Main Pool
The Detroit Lions 7 sacks were a huge part of Noah Jessup's weekly week. Noah went 13/16 with 2 Bang On's. Swallows (Trish Vitiello) also went 13/16 including the Lions but only 1 Bang On to finish 2nd. Jim Causier got 3rd place with 13 wins and 3 Bang On's. BountyHunterBC (Sean Beckett), Dak Dak Dak Bruce (Bruce Faulkner) and Mike Davis also all 13 wins to share the $80 consolation prize.
The Overall Standings now reflect your best 2 out of 3 weeks. Fadez (Adrian Dvorak) takes the early lead, a full game lead over the pack which is led by Brendan Mykle-Winkler. Big Dak Energy (Parker Wallace), Chef7814 (Matt Stevenson) and JOK Chance (Chance Glascock) round out the Top 5.
There were two 14/16 this week recorded by Scorpions (Tom Brocato) and Scoots (Ray Hackett) but their spread predictions were not as accurate as those above them this week. It did help Scorpions hold a share of the most wins thus far with JE | Doug Wiens with 40/48 correct after 3 weeks. JOK Chance and Rocky (Mike Rochfort) are only a game back.
There were lots of Bang Ons this week but nobody had more than Steve Werning who grabbed 5 of them. Rowan Morrissey and Taliban Munchma Quchi (Jay Madsen) lead the field after 3 weeks with a total of 7 thus far.
The Buffalo 10 point win over the Dolphins on Thursday helped 69 poolsters achieve perfect scores (35) but none more than Guy Campballero, Keeley Warren and RedNGold (Ross Morrison) who now share the top spot in the Non Sun-Mon category.
The Chiefs slid past the Giants (Russell Wilson's last game as a Giant..LOL) by 13. There were 14 Bang Ons but none amongst the leaders of the Sunday Night category. JE | F R I Z Z N A S T Y (Reid Frizzell) leads the way with BC Lions (Connoe Heinrichs) hot on his heels.
The Lions drubbing of the Ravens on Monday night vaulted Travelling Girl (Sheila Weztlmayr) to the top of the Monday Night standings. S.1.R.1.S. (Shad Simpson) and Gregg Scully also loved the result to finish in the Top 3.
Survivor Pool Update - 348/460 Survived in Winners Pool (112 eliminated) - 385/450 Survived in Loser Pool (65 eliminated) The 2nd Chance Survivor Pool will start in Week 5 so there are less tied at the end of the season.
Head 2 Head bracket down to final 64.
League Play is sorting out the leaders from the pretenders.
Best of luck in Week 4 and don't forget your Sunday morning pick!!!!
Platinum Pool
JOK Chance (Chance Glascock) held on to win the week going 12/16 with a couple of Bangers. Aussie Rules (Traves Black) finished in 2nd going 13/16 with 4 Bang Ons but also had two wins scoring less than 10 points. Mike Davis closes out the Top 3 going 13/16 with a Bang On.
The great wek by JOK Chance also helped him vault into a share of Top spot Overall with Green Bay Packers Shareholder (Mike Lochhead). JE | Throwpill (Steve Warde) remains in 3rd place with 9er Nation (Tammy Sampson) and DUDEMAN (Brendan McAuley) rounding out the Top 5.
We had Mike Davis, Gipper (Adam Pion), Money Graham (Sean Graham), Watson, Watsoff (Andrew Maitland), and Aussie Rules all managed 13 wins this week but JOK Chance holds the Overall lead.
Aussie Rules was the only one who managed 4 Bang On's to move into a share of the most Bang Ons with Rollin with William (Tara Castley), Ryan Cattermole and Long Time Running (Barrey Goertzen).
There were 24 Bang On's on Thursday night with Buffalo's 10 pt victory which helped Phil "12 men in the huddle" Hamel (Phil Hamel) move up to the Top spot in the Non Sun-Mon category. It also vaulted Howie (Steve Howerton) into 2nd. NoelieG (Noel Grendus) slides up to the 3rd spot.
The Chiefs 13 pt victory on Sunday Night helped 8 poolsters move up with a Bang On but none can overtake JE | F R I Z Z N A S T Y (Reid Frizzell) as he holds down the pole position. Falcon Smith (Nate Smith) and JOK Huffdaddy (Brian Huff) are close behind tied for 2nd.
No Bang Ons but the Detroit win on Monday Night escalated TMAC (Tracy McLaughlan) to take the lead in the Monday category. JOK FOG (Jeff Weston) slid down to 2nd while Watson, Watsoff leaped up to 3rd.
Survivor Results - 107/143 Winner Pool Survivors (36 eliminated) - 124/148 Loser Pool Survivors (24 eliminated) The 2nd Chance Survivor Pool will start in Week 5 so there are less tied at the end of the season.
Head 2 Head bracket down to final 64.
Best of luck in Week 4 and don't forget your Sunday morning pick!!!! |

Week # 3 Weekly Scenario | 29-Sep-25 10:07:30 AM |
It should be a great game tonight with this being a potential Super Bowl matchup this season. These people even have a little more riding on tonight's game.
Here are the weekly scenarios for tonight's game:
Main Pool
If BountyHunterBC (Sean Beckett) has Baltimore win between 1-4 then he has bragging rights. If Baltimore wins by 5 then BountyHunterBC and Jim Causier would tie for the weekly. If Baltimore wins by 6 or more then Jim Causier wins it outright.
If Detroit wins between 1-19 then Noah Jessup leaps on up to the Winner's Circle. If Detroit wins by 20 then Noah and Jim would call a truce and split the winnings. If Detroit wins by 21 or more then Jim can keep it all to himself.
Platinum Pool
If Baltimore wins between 1-9 or by 35 or more then JOK Chance (Chance Glascock) is the champ. If Baltimore wins between 10-33 then Aussie Rules (Traves Black) uses the draft to overtake the lead and win. If Baltimore wins by 34 they would split the prize.
If Detroit wins between 1-9 or by 18 or more then JOK Chance could win that way as well. If Detroit wins between 10-16 then Mike Davis finishes the week on a high note by taking the victory. If Detroit wins by 17 JOK Chance and Mike would have to have an arm wrestle to determine the winner.
Best of luck to all of you. |

Week # 2 Recap | 16-Sep-25 04:35:32 PM |
Main Pool
Congrats goes out to UNONUEVE (Chris Pavan) who went 15/16 and was perfect going into Monday Night and also plucked one Bang On. He edged out Fadez (Adrian Dvorak) by a single point. Fadez also went 15/16. In 3rd place was nogoodnorwood (Wesley Mitchell) who also went 15/16 but only got 1 pt in the Detroit win. Rounding out the prize winners were Morgan Manning Russell who? (Kent Melnuchuk) (both 14/16, 1 Bang On).
Just a reminder that the lowest dropped week has come into play so only your top week thus far will reflect your Overall score.
Brett Manning joins the three previously mentioned 15/16 for most wins for the week Fadez and nogoodnorwood share the Top spot for most wins overall with Long Time Running (Barry Goertzen) 28/32.
JOK Eli was the only poolsters to manage to hit 3 Bang On's this week. Overall, we have Linden Cameron, Long Time Running, BIG MAC Attack (Mike Calkins) and WestMarc (Eileen Day) sharing the top of the leaderboard with 5 Bang On's.
There were 11 of you plucking the Green Bay by 9 win on Thursday Night so they maxed out in the Non Sun-Mon Category. Hunter Clarke (Clayton Clarke) now sits atop alone in the lead followed closely behind by VanHawk (John Ryan) and TitanUp (Tyson Conrad).
DJ Reynes showed the biggest kahunas selecting Atlanta by 14 over the favoured Vikings and it paid off as he gained 8 points more than any other poolster and is enjoying his seat in the throne for Sunday Night Champ.
With the two games on Monday Night, there were nine players who tied for the most points with 57 points. Ben Wade was one of them and he is leading the field on Monday Nights.
Survivor Pool Update - 460/483 Survived in Winners Pool - 450/471 Survived in Loser Pool The 2nd Chance Survivor Pool will start in Week 5 so there are less tied at the end of the season.
Best of luck to everyone in Week 3
Platinum Pool
Shout out to Rocky Singh for his Weekly win. Rocky went 14/16 with a Bang On. He fended off Largent in Charge (Earl Vanas) who was seconds away from a perfect week until Baker Mayfield foiled his plans as he went 15/16 but no Bang On's which was good enough for 2nd place this week. JOK Joel (Joel Meyer) rounds out the Top 3 going 14/16 this week.
Just a reminder that the lowest dropped week has come into play so only your top week thus far will reflect your Overall score.
KINGS (Matt Shavluk) joins Largent in Charge with the most wins this week with 15/16 but neither could surpass Green Bay Packers Shareholder (Mike Lochhead) who continues to lead the most wins going 28/32 this far.
There were 14 poolsters that received 2 Bang On's this week, Long Time Running (Barry Goertzen), Ryan Cattermole and TMAC (Tracy McLachlan) were three of them and they lead the Bang On's so far this season with 5.
There were 2 Bang On's on Thursday by KKCowboysKK (Andrew Richards) and Lucky Leprechaun (Eddie Dagg) who elevated their positions in the Non Sun-Mon stat but couldn't overtake Raiders of the Lost Yard (Kevin Taylor).
The BWLions (Brandon Whiddington) got the most points on Sunday Night selecting the Falcons by 10 and he made the most of it as he made the greatest leap on Sunday Nights but not enough to overtake JOK Huffdaddy (Brian Huff) who now leads the category.
Johhnys Applesauce (Bardy Weber) scored the most points in the two Monday Night games to move up to 3rd in the category overall but not enough to pass JOK Fog (Jeff Weston) or BC Lions (Connor Heinrichs).
The H2H tournament started this week for some of you but everyone that is still alive is jumping in to complete the field. Make sure to follow the bracket under Display Head 2 Head.
Survivor Results - 143/151 Winner Pool Survivors - 148/151 Loser Pool Survivors
Best of luck to everyone in Week 3. |

Week # 1 Recap | 09-Sep-25 03:55:51 PM |
Main Pool
Long Time Running (Barrey Goertzen) wants to know who told him this pool was tough to win??? In his Gridiron debut, they won the weekly going 15/16 with 3 Bang On's. Hurts So Good (Trent Whitlock) was close on his heels going 14/16 also with 3 Bang On's. Stephen Smith and What's Love Got to Do (Wesley Kilpatrick) both 14/16 round out the Weekly winners.
Kopper14 (Ty Koppe) and Rowdy Roddy Peeper (Martyn Curley both joined Long Time Running with 15/16 wins but were a little less accurate with the spread points. Hint: They're kind of important.
WestMarc (Eileen Day) had 4 Bang On's to lead the field in this category.
#craftymon (Rob Julisson) and RYCOR (Ryan Mills) both got off to a hot start and lead the "Non-Sun-Mon" category with their picks on Thursday and Friday night.
Sweetness (Drew Klinck), Tyler Geremia and chuffycharms (Patrick Connolly) all knew the Bills were going to pull off a 1 point victory on Sunday night to lead Sunday Night Football.
There were 72 poolsters who predicted Minnesota by 3 last night so get another Bang On next Monday and then I'll mention ya in the Monday Night category....LOL
The H2H and League play have both started so take a look to see how you fared.
Survivor Pool Update - 483 Survived in Winners Pool - 471 Survived Loser Pool - 6 Poolsters didn't know what the Bright Flash Rotating Arrows were for.
Platinum Pool
JE | Throwpill's (Steve Warde) picks were not good enough to win in the Main Pool but that's why you play both pools as he is crowned the winner in this one. He went 14/16 with 2 Bang On's including the Monday nighter as it was the only result that would have gotten him the win. Congrats !!!!! BC Lions (Connor Heinrichs) went 15/16 without a Bang On and 9er Nation (Tammy Sampson) went 14/16 with a couple of Bang On's to finalize the Weekly Winners.
JOK Dan (Dan Davis) and Silver & Maxx (Avis Unwin) both joined BC Lions going 15/16 to lead the Most Winners thus far. They just need to be a little better with the spreads.
Abbygal (Lori Wettstein) and Mike Tagami both plucked 4 Bang On's to take the early lead in Bang On's.
Marshawns Ginch (Andy Houghton) and Rudy Ruettiger (Greg Hildebrand) both got out of the gate quickly on Thursday and Friday to lead the Non Sun-Mon category.
Chito (Kevin Sawka), Ryan Chattermole, Sirhan (Rob MacLean) and TMAC (Tracy McLachlan) all knew the Bills were gonna win by 1 to lead Sunday Night Football stats.
There were 21 Bang On's on Monday night so you're all tied !!!!!!
The H2H tournament starts this week for some of you. Those that ranked a little higher last season can enjoy the bye week to prepare for your matchup in Week 3.
Survivor Results - 151/157 Winner Pool Survivors - 151/157 Loser Pool Survivors The 2nd Chance Survivor Pool will start in Week 5 this week so there are less tied at the end of the season.

Best of luck in Week 2. |

Things you need to know | 02-Sep-25 08:11:46 AM |
Well we are all ready to go. Everyone should have your password. If you don't then please let me know so I can make sure you are good to go.
Many of you have started to enter your picks and that is awesome. Just a reminder that the Survivor Pool starts up and those BIG SWIRLING RED ARROWS are there to help remind you that you still need to enter the Survivor Picks. The deadline is Sunday morning but if you want the Thursday night game then that pick has to be in before the Thursday deadline. Also make sure you enter the TEAM AND THE MARGIN OF VICTORY some people forget about the margin of victory. A reminder will pop up but some just ignore it.
Some of you have already found out how to insert a team name you want to display. If you want to use a Team name simply click on Edit Profile in the Top right corner and enter the name you wish to participate with in the Display Name box. Sometimes it's tough to find your friends when they change their team name which is why we have the Friends List so you can easily find your friends in the Standings as they will be highlighted (you are as well) to find your friends easily. The Display Name (your team nickname) will lock on Sunday so if you wish to use this feature please make sure you have the name you wish to use before then. I will be removing any profound or distasteful names so please make sure the names are PG13. Greatly appreciated.
League Play is ready to go for those in the Main Pool (see the Display League Play link on the left) and I'm very excited about this as you will start your season in a Group of 8, play everybody in your group once and at the end if you win your division you move onto the next round. Just like the H2H bracket, you will obtain easy access to find which division you are in by clicking on the JUMP TO MY POOL link above Pool # 1. Below your pool you can click on SHOW SCHEDULED MATCHUPS to see who's playing who in your division that week. Standings will be updated after the Monday night game is recorded.
For those that don't know, there will also be two Head to Head (H2H) tournaments (see the Display Head 2 Head link on the left). Single round elimination, win and move on, lose and you're out. Somebody has to win. Why not you?
This year we will be starting the Second Chance Survivor Pool in Week 5 (1st week of Bye weeks) so that we don't have a bunch of poolsters who survive at seasons end.
That should be it. Once again if you have ANY questions about the website, scoring process or any else about the pool, please don't hesitate to contact me. That's why I'm here. Best of luck to all of you and I hope you enjoy the pool. |

Description of Prize Payouts | 28-Jul-25 11:46:08 AM |
For those of you new to the pool and for those who didn't quite get it last season here is a breakdown of the types of standings and other ways to win money.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Overall Standings
I've basically broken down how the points work in the rules (link to the left under Documents). The overall standings is the total of your points from your best 17 out of 18 weeks (you throw your worst week out the window, but it comes back later read on). The Top 20 at the end of the regular season win prize money. Any ties split the total prize money between the tied positions.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Weekly Results
This category is your total points from all of the games for the week. There is one weekly winner, one second place winner, one third place winner, and one fourth place winner each week and 18 weekly and runner up winners throughout the season. Any ties split the weekly winnings.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Highest Dropped Week
This is where your worst week of the season comes back into play. See how your worst week stacks up against your fellow participants. If you have the best worst week you actually win money for a bad week (it can't be too bad though).
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Most Bang On's
Bang On's are predictions where you pick the correct team AND the correct spread. If you can average slightly over 1 per week you've done very well for yourself as they are tougher to come by as you would think. Whoever ends up with the 5 highest totals wins $$$ at seasons end.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Most Winners
So you were way off on your spreads throughout the season. You couldn't even come close, fear not as there is a category for you. Back to basics, just picking the winner of the most games by the time the season closes. Top 5 winners get to say "Show me the Money".
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thursday Night Scores
Commentators Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit with sideline reporter Haylee Hartung lead this nights scoring. Accumulate points on this evening and all the US Thanksgiving games throughout the season. Top 5 get paid here as well.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sunday Night Scores
Whenever you see Mike Tirico, Cris Collinsworth, and Melissa Stark on Sunday night is when this category kicks in. Add up all your Sunday night scores throughout the year and see if it earns you some cash. Yes, you guessed it, the Top 5 get paid.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Monday Night Scores
See Sunday Night Scores but replace Mike, Cris and Melissa with Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, and Lisa Salters.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Playoff Standings
The Gridiron Football Pool also rewards their Top Point getters with a bonus playoff round to win more money. The Top 100 at the end of the season qualify for the Playoffs (no more money required). You basically do the same as you have during the regular season by picking the team and spreads every week but as you start nearing the Super Bowl some people need to start taking chances with either wacky big spreads or pulling for a huge underdog to come through to snag victory out from underneath the leaders feet. Weird things happen but you're never safe until the Vince Lombardi trophy is raised. The Top 10 win money.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Head 2 Head Tournament
Do nothing more than enter your picks and enjoy the game. This little tournament gives you something else to pull for during the season. Starting in Week 1, you have a chance to be the last poolster standing. Each week you will be facing off against someone else in the pool. You will be able to see their picks after the deadline and then you can compare which games you have different and cheer on those games. Win and you move on, lose and you're done. The Top 4 winners win money (if you make the Top 4 the losers in the semi-finals play each other for 3rd place). Don't worry if you get knocked out early because we start all over again in Week 9 and do it again one more time.
Here is the tie breaker procedure:
1. Most wins
2. Most Bang On's
3. Best score in prior week
4. Best score 2 weeks prior etc.
Please click on the Display Head 2 Head link to the left for the bracket and find yourself and who you face (coming once participants are finalized).
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
League Play is returning. With 512 poolsters, we will start the season with 64 groups of 8. Everybody plays everyone in their division once and after 7 weeks whoever is on top of their division will move onto the next round. Starting Week 8, the 64 division leaders will be reseeded and broken into 8 divisions of 8 poolsters and once again everybody plays everybody in their division once. Division winners will move onto the Round of 8 and play single elimination bracket for the final 3 weeks of the season. Only the strong will survive this league.
Tiebreaker Rules
1. Head to Head
2. Most points in the Round currently playing
3. Most Wins in Round
4. Most Bang On's
5. Most Points in Overall Standings
6. Whatever
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Survivor Pools
Winner Pool - Select a winner each week. If they win you move onto the following week lose and you're out. The catch is that you cannot pick the team that you selected again for the balance of the season.
Loser Pool - Same as the winner pool but you select a team to lose. If you select a team to win in the winner pool you CAN select the same team to lose in the Loser pool.
The Second Chance Survivor Pool - Starting in Week 7 everybody will have another chance to win the Survivor Pool. This one is a little different though. You will have to choose a team to win AND a team to lose. You have to win BOTH to advance AND you have to select teams playing in separate games (can't pick a winner and loser that are playing each other) to move onto the next week and both those choices will be removed from your pick selection list.

The money breakdown will be up shortly as well once I determine the amount of poolsters and the breakdown of all the different prizes. (Click on Money Distribution link under Documents to the left for disbursements) |

Gridiron Web Features | 14-Aug-20 10:51:23 AM |
For all the standings for each individual category please click on the Display Results & Standings and click on the drop down box titled Select Standing Type. This will show you the standings for the Most Wins, Most Bang On's, Most Sunday night points, Most Monday night points, Best Dropped Week and the Thur Night Category. You can also select a year to reminisce how you fared in seasons past. The dropped week will come into play starting Week 2. When you notice that after Week 2 that only one week was recorded it is because you don't count your lowest week at seasons end. The Overall Standings will always calculate your total score minus your lowest week.
One of the newer features that Rae has installed on the web site is the Compare Player Picks link to the left. Use this feature to to see how you stack up against your opponent for the week. The games you have different will be bolded to easily see which games mean the most to win and view the results and compare how the spread points differ between the two sets of picks.
The Head 2 Head tourney starts Week 1 so click on Display Head 2 Head. Underneath the Cowboys picture there is a link titled Jump to my Name. Click on this link and it will show you where you are on the flow chart and it should be highlighted. Win you move on lose and your out.
Click on Display Survivor Results to see how you and others fared in the Dog Eat Dog world of the Survivor Pool.
Highlight your friends in your standings. Click on Edit Profile in the top right corner of the page. Select the Display Name or the Player name of your friend and then click on ADD FRIEND (I always forget that part). Once that is done they will be highlighted on your standings page as well. Select as many or as little as you want. |

Survivor Rules | 28-Jul-25 12:12:13 PM |
Once you get your password (which you only get once you pay) and click on Enter My Picks, you will notice at the top of the page a box with an arrow pointing to it titled Survivor Pick. Every week you will select a team to outright win the game. If they win you advance to the next week. If they lose then you are done for the season. That sounds easy enough, what’s the catch. The catch is you are only allowed to select a team once per season. Once you’ve selected a team you can no longer pick them so it gets tougher as you go along.
Your pick MUST be in before the deadline of Sunday at 9:55 PST. If you forget, you’re out of luck.
On the left side of the screen, click Display Survivor Results and you will be able to see the other Survivor picks 5 minutes prior to opening kickoff.
We also have a Loser Survivor Pool as well. Same as the picking the winner as in seasons past but this one who have to pick the losers.
The prize payout will be determined once the field of participants has been established. If more than 1 of you survive all 18 weeks you will split the prize pot between yourselves. If more than one of you are eliminated at the same time but are the last group remaining you will split the pot.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to fire off your questions and I would be happy to share them with the group. |
